Armistead Lemon '95 has spent the last seventeen years in independent school education where she has focused on best practices in STEM education, developing faculty leaders, and conducting research on student confidence. After graduating from North Cross School, she received her BA in English from Washington and Lee University and received her MA in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has continued her education in independent school leadership through fellowships at the Klingenstein Institute at Columbia University's Teachers College and through the Emerging Leaders program at Vanderbilt University. Previously a senior administrator and teacher at Harpeth Hall School in Nashville, TN, she is honored to return to her hometown of Roanoke to serve as North Cross's first female Head of School.
