　　On December 11, Y2 student Leo Kuang was awarded the Overall Champion in the International Junior Math Olympiad (IJMO), demonstrating his math talent and strength.

　　12月11日，來自Y2的學(xué)生，Leo Kuang在國際數(shù)學(xué)奧林匹克競(jìng)賽(IJMO)中榮獲總冠軍，再次展示了他在數(shù)學(xué)領(lǐng)域的才華和實(shí)力，并在2023年的尾聲為學(xué)校的榮譽(yù)添上了濃墨重彩的一筆。

　　“I love Maths because I’ve found many interesting facts inside. I did many types of questions, such as Pigeonhole Problems, Excess and Shortage Problems, etc. I’m ready for the AMO on November 1st, which is a competition from America. I’m a bit happy and a bit excited and a bit nervous, because I don’t want to have silver again and again. I will study math in my whole life.”

　　“我喜歡數(shù)學(xué)是因?yàn)槲野l(fā)現(xiàn)里面蘊(yùn)含了許多的妙趣。在競(jìng)賽中，我做了許多不同類型的奧數(shù)題目，如“鴿巢原理”和“過剩和短缺”的題目等等。我已經(jīng)準(zhǔn)備好參加今年11月的AMO美國數(shù)學(xué)奧林匹克競(jìng)賽。對(duì)于即將到來的競(jìng)賽，我感到有一點(diǎn)開心、興奮且緊張，因?yàn)槲蚁Ｍ苋〉酶玫某煽?jī)。并且我將會(huì)終生學(xué)習(xí)數(shù)學(xué)!”

　　In the competition, students from different countries and regions competed fiercely. Leo achieved excellent results with all the participants due to his outstanding maths skills and unique problem-solving ideas.

　　在今年的IJMO競(jìng)賽中，來自不同國家和地區(qū)的學(xué)生們進(jìn)行了激烈的角逐。Leo憑借出色的數(shù)學(xué)技能和獨(dú)特的解題思路，在比賽中均取得了優(yōu)異的成績(jī)。

International Junior Math Olympiad

IJMO賽事在國際的影響力

　　The International Junior Math Olympiad (IJMO) is Singapore's top math competition and one of the world's most influential math competitions. It aims to provide a global platform for students to interact and compete against worthy opponents. IJMO is the ideal platform to showcase every student's potential and talent in math. To be eligible for participation in IJMO, only SASMO and AMO Gold and Silver awardees from each country are selected annually to represent their country.

　　國際青少年數(shù)學(xué)奧林匹克競(jìng)賽(IJMO)是新加坡頂尖的數(shù)學(xué)競(jìng)賽，同時(shí)是全球范圍內(nèi)最具影響力的數(shù)學(xué)競(jìng)賽之一，旨在激發(fā)青年學(xué)生對(duì)數(shù)學(xué)的興趣和熱愛，培養(yǎng)他們的數(shù)學(xué)思維和解決問題的能力。IJMO比賽的參賽學(xué)生群體是對(duì)數(shù)學(xué)有濃厚興趣與天賦的學(xué)生。參賽者必須在SASMO或AMO中獲得銀牌以上方可參賽資格。

　　IJMO empowers students with deep conceptual understanding and logical thinking skills beyond grade level. The competition effectively stretched every student’s potential beyond grade level, allowing them to apply much higher-level logical and analytical skills better to solve challenging Math Olympiad problems. Questions in IJMO are carefully designed to develop every student’s higher level of conceptual understanding and logical thinking skills.

　　IJMO要求學(xué)生具備超越年級(jí)水平的概念理解和邏輯思維能力，同時(shí)有效地激發(fā)每位參賽者的潛能，讓他們能夠以更好的邏輯和分析技能來解決具有挑戰(zhàn)性的奧數(shù)問題。IJMO 中的問題經(jīng)過精心設(shè)計(jì)，培養(yǎng)每個(gè)學(xué)生更高層次的理解和邏輯思維能力。
